Short version: FlawFinder provides research tools, not legal advice. AI summaries may contain errors. Always verify documents directly with the source before relying on them in court. Our last comprehensive SOP sourcing cycle was completed December 2025.

1. General

FlawFinder is a legal research tool designed to assist attorneys, paralegals, law students, and informed individuals with research tasks. The platform aggregates and indexes publicly available government documents including federal statutes, regulations, court opinions, and police standard operating procedures (SOPs).

While we strive for accuracy and currency, FlawFinder does not guarantee that any document, summary, citation, or search result is complete, current, or free from error. Legal research requires professional judgment that no automated tool can replace.

2. No Legal Advice

Nothing on FlawFinder constitutes legal advice. Search results, AI-generated summaries, citation analysis, and all other platform outputs are provided for informational and research purposes only. No attorney-client relationship is formed by using this platform. Always consult a licensed attorney before taking any action based on legal research.

3. Police SOP Currency — Latest Sourcing Cycle

Our most recent comprehensive sourcing cycle for police standard operating procedure documents was completed in December 2025. During this cycle, we collected and indexed SOPs from 350+ police and sheriff departments across the United States.

Police departments update their policies continuously. A document indexed in December 2025 may have been superseded, amended, or rescinded by the department since that time. FlawFinder does not monitor individual department policy changes in real time.

We perform quarterly spot-checks on high-traffic departments and update documents when newer versions are identified. However, we cannot guarantee that any specific SOP reflects the currently operative version of that department's policy.

4. Update Policy

We conduct comprehensive re-sourcing cycles approximately twice per year. Between cycles, we update individual documents on a rolling basis as updates are identified or reported by users. If you identify an outdated document, please contact support@flawfinder.ai and we will prioritize its update.

5. Verification Requirement

Before citing any FlawFinder result in a court filing, motion, brief, or any other legal proceeding, you must independently verify the document against the authoritative source. For statutes and regulations, verify against the official government publication. For police SOPs, obtain the current version directly from the relevant department through a public records request if necessary.

FlawFinder is a research starting point, not a citation source.

6. AI-Generated Content

FlawFinder uses large language models to generate summaries, highlight relevant passages, and assist with search relevance. AI-generated content may contain hallucinations, factual errors, or mischaracterizations of the underlying document. All AI-generated summaries should be treated as preliminary research aids, not authoritative interpretations.

Citations generated by FlawFinder should be verified against the source document before use in any professional or legal context.
