FlawFinder started as a single question: why do public defenders have worse research tools than the prosecutors they face? We’re fixing that.

1. What We Built

FlawFinder is a legal research platform built for attorneys who can’t afford — or refuse to pay — Westlaw prices. We index federal statutes, federal regulations, case law from all circuit and district courts, and police standard operating procedures from 350+ departments nationwide. Everything is searchable in plain English, with AI-powered summaries and verified citations.

2. Who We Serve

Solo practitioners. Public defenders. Legal aid attorneys. Law students. Journalists. Researchers. People navigating the legal system without a lawyer. Anyone who needs accurate legal information and can’t justify a $200/month Westlaw subscription.

3. Our Pricing Philosophy

Westlaw and LexisNexis charge $133–$566/month, require annual contracts, and raise rates 5–6% every year. We charge $49/month, no contract, price locked for life for Founder’s Club members. Our unit economics work at less than 1% conversion. We don’t need to overcharge you.

4. The Founder’s Club

We’re offering 500 lifetime price-lock spots to the attorneys and researchers who join early. Founder’s Club members get every feature we ever build, at their locked rate, forever. ~90 spots remaining as of March 2026.
