Statute Text
Additional equipment; rules. The State Marine Board may require by rule that all boats or any class of boats shall carry or install additional equipment which in the opinion of the board is necessary for the safety of persons and property. The rules shall be made in accordance with ORS chapter 183 and, to the extent considered by the board to be consistent with safety of persons and property, shall equal or exceed the regulations promulgated by the United States Coast Guard.
