Failure to perform duties of witness to accident; penalty.
(1) A person commits the offense
of failure to perform the duties of a witness to an accident if the person:
(a) Witnesses an
accident that results in injury or death to any person or causes damage to a
vehicle that is driven or attended by any person; and
(b) Does not
furnish to the driver or occupant of such vehicles or injured person, the true
name and address of the witness.
(2) The offense
described in this section, failure to perform the duties of a witness to an
accident, is a Class B traffic violation. [1983 c.338 §575]
