Low-speed vehicles and medium-speed electric vehicles; rules.
(1) The Department of
Transportation shall adopt, by rule, minimum safety standards for low-speed
vehicles and medium-speed electric vehicles.
(2) The
department may not issue registration to a low-speed vehicle or medium-speed
electric vehicle if the department has reason to believe the vehicle does not
meet the safety standards adopted pursuant to this section. [2009 c.865 §14;
