Statute Text
Owner.
Owner when referring to the
owner of a vehicle means:
(1) The person in
whose name title to a vehicle is issued, and who is entitled to possession and
use of the vehicle.
(2) If the title
and right to possession and use for a vehicle are in different persons:
(a) The person,
other than a security interest holder, who is entitled to the possession and
use of the vehicle under a security agreement.
(b) The lessor or
lessee of a vehicle, as designated by the lessor on the application for title,
if the lessee is entitled to possession and use of the vehicle under a lease
