Statute Text
Dismantler.
(1) Dismantler means a person
who is engaged in the business of:
(a) Buying,
selling, dealing in or processing, except for processing into scrap metal,
motor vehicles for the purpose of destroying, salvaging, dismantling,
disassembling, reducing to major component parts, crushing, compacting,
recycling or substantially altering in form; or
(b) Buying,
selling, dealing in or processing motor vehicle major component parts that are
stocked in the inventory of the business, if the buying, selling, dealing in or
processing of major component parts is not part of a business selling new
vehicles or repairing vehicles.
(2) Dismantler
does not include a scrap metal business as defined in ORS 165.116. [2005 c.654 §3;
