Recreational facilities; development; operation; maintenance. (1) The Port of Portland may construct, operate, equip and maintain public parks, marinas and other recreational facilities on land owned by the port when such facilities may be developed in conjunction with the exercise by the port of any of its other powers. (2) The port may convey the land and recreational facilities developed under this section to a political subdivision or municipal corporation of this state in exchange for an agreement to operate and maintain the facilities solely for public recreational use. (3) The port may enter into an agreement with a political subdivision or municipal corporation of this state for the operation and maintenance of recreational facilities. [1971 c.400 §2]
