Definitions for ORS 777.705 to 777.725.
As used in ORS 777.705 to 777.725, bonus or bonuses
includes payment of funds for:
(1) Chartering
vessels;
(2) Guaranteeing
to vessels, transportation lines, companies or persons, cargo and tonnage, and
guaranteeing to vessels, transportation lines, companies or persons against
loss on account of delay in the Columbia River or Willamette River or at the
Columbia River bar;
(3) Absorption of
charges for lightering, dredging, towage and pilotage of any vessels; or
(4) Fixing of
pilotage and stevedoring charges, seamens wages, fuel costs, supplies and
other charges and expenses incident to maritime commerce, at such a rate as may
place a port on a competitive basis in such matter with other ports. [Amended
