Contracts or intergovernmental agreements between ports and others. (1) A port may enter into intergovernmental agreements under ORS chapter 190 for any purpose permitted under that chapter. (2) Any port may enter into a contract with any person or into an intergovernmental agreement under ORS chapter 190 for the use and control of water for promoting erosion control, pollution control or otherwise protecting, maintaining and enhancing waters within the boundaries of the port district. (3) Expenses incurred or revenues received in the performance of a contract or agreement entered into under subsections (1) and (2) of this section shall be allocated among the parties as the contract or agreement shall provide.
