Statute Text
Measuring quality of service; standards; rules.
(1) The Public Utility Commission
shall ascertain and prescribe for each kind of telecommunications utility
suitable and convenient standard commercial units of service. These shall be
lawful units for the purposes of this chapter.
(2) The
commission shall ascertain and fix adequate and serviceable standards for the
measurement of quality, pressure, initial voltage or other conditions
pertaining to the supply of the service rendered by any telecommunications
utility and prescribe reasonable regulations for examination and testing of
such service and for the measurement thereof. It shall establish reasonable
rules, regulations, specifications and standards to secure the accuracy of all
meters and appliances for the measurements, and every telecommunications
utility is required to carry into effect all orders issued by the commission
relative thereto. [1987 c.447 §20]
