Statute Text
Approval or rejection of claims.
(1) Within a reasonable time after the expiration of the time fixed in the
notice to creditors, the Director of the Department of Consumer and Business
Services shall approve or reject, in whole or in part, every claim filed.
(2) Depositors
claims that assert no priority or preference other than the preference given
under ORS 711.520 to depositors and that are filed after the expiration of the
time fixed in the notice to creditors for the filing of all claims shall be
approved or rejected, in whole or in part, within a reasonable time after the
claims are filed with the director.
(3) The approval
or rejection of any claim by the director shall be indorsed in writing upon the
claim and the director need not state the reasons for the approval or
rejection. The director may at any time alter or amend the previous approval or
