Statute Text
Appeal
committee; membership; duties.
(1) From within its membership, the Construction Contractors Board shall
appoint three members, including one of the public members or the elected
official, as an appeal committee. The board may appoint one or more appeal
committees. At least one residential contractor shall be appointed to any
committee that hears appeals involving residential complaints.
(2) An appeal
committee shall hear appeals on proposed orders and on petitions for
reconsideration and rehearing and motions for stays that were originally
appealed to the board as proposed orders.
(3) The
Construction Contractors Board shall not consider an appeal of a decision of an
appeal committee. However, the full board may act as an appeal committee. The
parties affected by a decision of an appeal committee shall retain the right to
appeal the decision to the Court of Appeals. [1989 c.928 §24; 1993 c.470 §1;
