Statute Text
License to practice respiratory care.
The Health Licensing Office may issue a license to practice respiratory care to
an applicant who:
(1) Submits to
the office written evidence that the applicant:
(a) Is at least
18 years of age;
(b) Has completed
an approved four-year high school course of study or the equivalent as
determined by the appropriate educational agency; and
(c) As approved
by the office by rule, satisfies the requirements to be credentialed as a
registered respiratory therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care, or
its successor organization; and
(2) Passes any
examinations approved by the Respiratory Therapist and Polysomnographic
Technologist Licensing Board, including but not limited to an examination
regarding Oregon law and administrative rules related to the practice of
