Oregon Revised Statutes Chapter 687 § 687.425 — Renewal of license; effect of failure to renew

Renewal of license; effect of failure to renew. (1) The Health Licensing Office shall renew a direct entry midwife license upon: (a) The applicant’s satisfaction of the requirements for renewal under ORS 676.572; (b) Receipt of proof of current cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification for infants and adults; (c) Receipt of the applicable renewal fee established under ORS 676.576; and (d) The applicant’s satisfaction of the requirements for renewal prescribed by the State Board of Direct Entry Midwifery under subsections (2) and (3) of this section. (2) The board shall prescribe requirements for license renewal including, but not limited to, continuing education that must include training in use of legend drugs and devices. (3) The board shall require a midwife who has attended fewer than five births in the previous year to take an additional 10 hours of continuing education as prescribed by the board.
