Statute Text
Physicians required to perform agreed upon surgery personally.
(1) Any physician having agreed
with a patient to perform any surgical operation or procedure, shall perform
the surgery personally or, prior to surgery, shall inform the patient that the
physician will not be performing the surgery.
(2) This section
shall not apply when the physician, because of an emergency, cannot personally
notify the patient that the physician will not be performing the surgery. [1977
