Health
care workforce needs; report to Legislative Assembly.
(1) The Oregon Health Policy
Board, in consultation with the Oregon Health and Science University and the
Office of Rural Health, shall conduct an assessment of the health care
workforce needs in this state, including but not limited to the health care workforce
needed to address:
(a) The
continuing expansion in commercial and publicly funded health care coverage;
(b) Health
disparities among medically underserved populations; and
(c) The need for
health care providers in rural communities.
(2) The board
shall report to the Legislative Assembly no later than February 1 in each
odd-numbered year on the health care workforce needs in this state and
proposals for addressing those needs with programs funded by the Health Care
Provider Incentive Fund established under ORS 676.450. [2017 c.718 §1]
