Statute Text
Investigation of identity of person claiming to be registered.
The State Board of Examiners for
Engineering and Land Surveying may inquire into the identity of any person
claiming to be a registered professional engineer, registered professional land
surveyor or photogrammetrist and, after due service of a notice in writing,
require the person to prove to the satisfaction of the board that the person is
the person authorized to practice engineering, land surveying or
photogrammetric mapping under the certificate of registration by virtue of
which the person claims to be authorized. When the board finds that a person
making such a claim is not in fact the person to whom the certificate of
registration was issued, the board shall reduce the findings to writing and
file the findings in the office of the board. The findings are prima facie
evidence that the person mentioned therein is falsely impersonating another of
a like or different name. [Amended by 1971 c.751 §30; 2009 c.259 §18]
