Statute Text
Term;
certificate of appointment; oath; removal; vacancies.
(1) Upon the expiration of the
term of any board member, the Governor shall appoint a person possessing the
qualifications prescribed by ORS 672.240 as a member of the State Board of
Examiners for Engineering and Land Surveying to serve for a term of four years
from July 1.
(2) Every member
of the board shall receive a certificate of appointment from the Governor and
before beginning the term shall file with the Secretary of State the
constitutional oath of office.
(3) The Governor:
(a) May remove
any member of the board for misconduct, incapacity or neglect of duty.
(b) By
appointment for the unexpired term, shall fill any vacancy caused by death,
resignation or removal from office. [Amended by 1963 c.580 §33; 1971 c.751 §25;
