Purpose of ORS 671.310 to 671.459, 671.992 and 671.995. ORS 671.310 to 671.459, 671.992 and 671.995 are enacted in order to introduce qualifying criteria in the professional practice of landscape architecture. This action is necessary to safeguard public health, safety, welfare and property and to eliminate unnecessary loss and waste in this state. These safeguards are in the practice of landscape architecture as it relates to engineering, architecture, ground water, land use planning, landscape hazards, the further development of the practice of landscape architecture and the landscape architectural concerns of the people of this state.
