Interstate agreements regarding courses of study.
(1) If there is an interstate
agreement regarding apprenticeship courses of study between the State
Apprenticeship and Training Council and an agency with similar functions in
another state:
(a) Any course of
study prescribed pursuant to ORS 660.157 is subject to the provisions of the
interstate agreement.
(b) Each local
joint committee of an occupation that is subject to the interstate agreement
shall submit requests for changes in courses of study directly to the council.
(2) Reciprocal
approval for federal purposes shall be accorded to apprentices, apprenticeship
programs and standards that are registered by the United States Department of
Labor Office of Apprenticeship, or by the registration agency or council of any
other state that has been recognized by the United States Department of Labor
Office of Apprenticeship, if reciprocal approval is requested by the program
sponsor, even if the programs and their standards depart in some respects from
the criteria of ORS 660.126 and from the other provisions set forth in ORS
