Statute Text
Disposition of wages collected by commissioner when payment cannot be made to
person entitled thereto.
(1) The Commissioner of the Bureau of Labor and Industries shall attempt for a
period of not less than three years to make payment of wages collected under
ORS 652.310 to 652.414 to the person entitled thereto.
(2) By July 30 of
each year, the commissioner shall pay wages collected by the commissioner under
ORS 652.310 to 652.414 and remaining unclaimed for a period of more than three
years from the date of collection to the State Treasurer as unclaimed property
under ORS 98.352 or, by October 1 of each year, transfer the wages to the State
Treasurer under ORS 293.455. The State Treasurer shall issue a receipt for the
