Definitions for ORS 646.881 to 646.885.
As used in ORS 646.881 to 646.885, unless the context
requires otherwise:
(1) Advertisement
means any oral, written or graphic statement or representation made in
connection with the solicitation of business in any manner by a seller and
includes, but is not limited to, statements and representations made in any
newspaper or other publication, on radio or television, or printed in any
catalog, circular, or any other sales literature or brochure, any billboard, or
any banner or sign visible from a street or highway adjacent to the sellers
place of business.
(2) Price
comparison means the direct or indirect comparison in any advertisement
whether or not expressed wholly or in part in dollars, cents, fractions or
percentages of a sellers current price for a product with any other price or
statement of value, whether or not such price is actually stated in the
advertisement. Price comparison includes any price reduction claim or savings
claim which a seller makes with respect to the sellers current price for any
