Statute Text
Department officials to prevent introduction of plant pests.
The Director of Agriculture, and
the chief of the division of plant industry, are authorized and directed to use
such methods as may be necessary to prevent the introduction into this state of
dangerous insects or other plant pests, and to apply methods necessary to
prevent the spread, to establish control and to accomplish the eradication of
insects or other plant pests that may seriously endanger agricultural and
horticultural interests of the state. The methods may be established or
introduced if the director or chief considers control or eradication to be
possible and practicable. [Amended by 2015 c.203 §14]
