Research regarding plant pests. The State Department of Agriculture may conduct research to prevent the introduction or spread of plant pests into or within the state. The department may conduct the research independently or as part of a cooperative effort involving other entities. The research may include, but need not be limited to, researching the feasibility of controlling or eradicating plant pests. [2009 c.98 §7]
