Procedure when shipment is sound, but from infected or infested area.
In case the shipment, although
apparently sound and not infested or infected by any pests, is from an infested
or infected district beyond the limits of this state, the inspector shall
notify the owner or person in charge thereof, and shall require such owner or
person to fumigate or sterilize such shipment, or to destroy or to treat such
shipment in the manner directed by the inspector and under the supervision of
the inspector or under the supervision of some person appointed by the inspector
for that purpose, or to return it to the point of origin or ship out of the
state.
