State
Forestry Department Revolving Account; purposes.
(1) Notwithstanding ORS 291.238 or
any other law, a revolving account in the sum of $750,000 deposited with the
State Treasurer shall be at the disposal of the forester for the payment of:
(a) Lawful
expenses incurred under the direction of the forester and the State Board of
Forestry in the prevention or suppression of fire and the protection of
forestlands; and
(b) Miscellaneous
bills and extraordinary items which are payable in cash immediately upon
presentation.
(2) The forester
may draw checks upon the State Treasurer in making disbursements from the
revolving account for the purposes stated in this section. Reimbursement of
such disbursements shall be made from funds and accounts budgeted and allotted
for expenses of the State Forestry Department. The revolving account is not
subject to allotment or allocation of moneys pursuant to ORS 291.234 to
