Developmental Fisheries Board; members; qualifications; expenses.
(1) The Developmental Fisheries
Board is established in the State Department of Fish and Wildlife. The board
shall consist of members appointed by the State Fish and Wildlife Commission
after consultation with commercial fishing industry representatives to insure
representation on the board of a broad range of fishing interests.
(2) The
commission shall appoint:
(a) Two members
who are commercial fishermen licensed in this state and who are the operators
of commercial fishing vessels that are less than 60 feet in length.
(b) Two members
who are commercial fishermen licensed in this state and who are the operators
of commercial fishing vessels that are 60 feet or more in length.
(c) One member
who represents commercial fishing interests in general.
(d) One member
who is employed by a fish processor having fewer than 50 employees.
(e) One member
who is employed by a fish processor having 50 or more employees.
(f) One member
who is an employee of the State Department of Fish and Wildlife.
(g) One member
who is an employee of the State Department of Agriculture.
(3) A member of
the board shall receive no compensation for services as a member. However,
subject to any applicable law regulating travel and other expenses of state
officers and employees, a member shall be reimbursed for actual and necessary
travel and other expenses incurred in the performance of duties as a board
member. The board shall meet at least once each year. [1993 c.765 §117]
