General duties and powers of commission; rulemaking authority.
(1) The State Fish and Wildlife
Commission has the authority to formulate and implement the policies and
programs of this state for the management of food fish, and may perform all
acts necessary to administer and carry out the provisions of the commercial
fishing laws.
(2) In accordance
with any applicable provision of ORS chapter 183, the commission may promulgate
rules to carry out the provisions of the commercial fishing laws. [1975 c.253 §17]
