Statute Text
(1), a person may not:
(a) Make or
direct the construction, installation, repair or alteration of a boiler or
pressure vessel that does not meet minimum safety standards.
(b) Lend, rent
out, or offer to lend or to rent out, sell, offer for sale, or dispose of by
gift or otherwise, for operation, a boiler or pressure vessel that does not
meet the minimum safety standards.
(c) Use, or
attempt to use, a boiler or pressure vessel that fails to meet the minimum
safety standards.
(d) Make any
installation of a boiler or pressure vessel or repair thereon affecting the
strength or safety thereof without notifying the chief boiler inspector as
prescribed by rules promulgated under ORS 480.545.
(2) Nothing in
this section restricts the construction of boilers or pressure vessels in
Oregon that are installed outside Oregon and that do not conform to the
