Statute Text
Liability in damages for failure to comply with order under ORS 479.170. Anyone whose person or property is injured by reason of the failure of the owner or occupant to comply with any order under ORS 479.170 not appealed from, or with any such order of the State Fire Marshal upon appeal to the State Fire Marshal, or by any fire originating in the building or premises while the order is in effect and not complied with, may recover from the owner or occupant the actual damage suffered.
