Additional authority of districts within 10-mile radius of city of 100,000 or
more.
Districts
situated within a radius of 10 miles of a city of over 100,000 population may,
in addition to the powers granted by ORS 478.210, 478.221 and 478.240 to
478.280, install, maintain and operate systems of street, road or highway
lights. The lights shall be maintained upon the streets, roads or intersections
as the board considers is needed to furnish the best lighting service to the
residents and properties in the district. [Amended by 1969 c.667 §20]
