Notification of permit application in county of proposed disposal site. (1) Following the submittal of a waste tire storage site permit application, the Director of the Department of Environmental Quality shall cause notice to be given in the county where the proposed site is located in a manner reasonably calculated to notify interested persons of the permit application. (2) The notice shall contain information regarding the location of the site and the type and amount of waste tires intended for storage at the site, and may fix a time and place for a public hearing. In addition, the notice shall give any person substantially affected by the proposed site an opportunity to comment on the permit application. [1987 c.706 §7; 1993 c.560 §63]
