Statute Text
Procedural rules. In accordance with the requirements of ORS chapter 183 and after public hearing, the Environmental Quality Commission shall adopt rules: (1) To establish a procedure for local government units to request assistance from the Department of Environmental Quality in the establishment of a landfill under ORS 459.047, and to give notice of such requests. (2) To establish a procedure for obtaining public comment on determinations of need for a landfill made by the commission under ORS 459.049. (3) To provide for public hearings in the area affected by a proposed landfill to be established by the department under ORS 459.049. [1979 c.773 §5; 1993 c.560 §10]
