Authorized substitutions in codes adopted by reference. For the purposes of the codes of regulations adopted under this chapter, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise, the following substitutions shall be made in any code adopted by reference as part of the state building code: (1) “Building official” for “administrative authority.” (2) “Governing body” for “mayor” and “city council.” (3) “Municipality” for “city,” “county” or other unit of local government.
