Regional hazardous material response team; use. In order to protect life and property against the dangers of emergencies involving a hazardous substance as defined in ORS 453.307, the State Fire Marshal may assign and make available for use and duty in any county, city or district, under the direction and command of a person designated by the State Fire Marshal, any part of a regional hazardous material response team and specialized equipment that may be necessary to respond to the emergency.
