Identification on potable water pipe required.
(1) All water pipe used to carry
potable water sold in this state shall be clearly marked the entire length of
pipe, at intervals of length set by the Director of the Department of Consumer
and Business Services with the approval of the State Plumbing Board, with:
(a)
Identification of the manufacturer and the plant of origin; and
(b) The
manufacturing standard under which the pipe was made.
(2) A label,
shield or coding system may be used to identify the manufacturer, origin and
manufacturing standard under which the pipe was made if the manufacturer has on
file with the Department of Consumer and Business Services a notice describing
