Statute Text
Nursing home patients bill of rights; rules.
(1) The Department of Human Services shall adopt a
nursing home patients bill of rights consistent with the principles set forth
in ORS 441.605. The rules shall be applicable to all residents and as far as
practicable shall conform to any federal nursing home patients bill of rights.
(2) The
department shall periodically review the rules to assure that they meet the
principles set forth in ORS 441.605 and that they are in conformity with
federal standards but in no case shall the rules be less protective than
required by ORS 441.605.
(3) The
department shall be guided by federal interpretative standards in its
enforcement of the nursing home patients bill of rights. [1979 c.261 §5; 1987
