Statute Text
Release prior to expiration of term of commitment. Nothing in this chapter and ORS 430.397 to 430.401 prohibits the Oregon Health Authority from releasing a person from a hospital or other facility in which the person is being treated prior to the expiration of the period of commitment under ORS 426.130 when, in the opinion of the director of the facility or the licensed independent practitioner who is treating the person, the person is no longer a person with mental illness.
