Statute Text
Eligibility requirements.
Subject to the availability of funds therefor, a family shall be eligible to
receive family support services and goods if the family meets any of the
following requirements:
(1) The family
has a family member requiring long term care due to disability or chronic
illness whom the family desires to keep at home or return to the home from an
institution or other out-of-home placement.
(2) The family
desires to care for the dependent family member at home if financial, physical
or other barriers are reduced or eliminated and adequate community based
support services are provided.
(3) The family is
caring for a family member who is waiting for residential or vocational
services.
(4) Other
requirements established by the Department of Human Services. The requirements
must be reviewed by the Family Support Advisory Council. [1991 c.122 §5; 2001
