Statute Text
Deputy
director; assistant directors.
(1) The Director of Human Services may appoint a deputy director, whose
appointment is subject to approval by the Governor and who shall serve at the
pleasure of the director. The deputy director shall have full authority to act
for the director, subject to directions of the director. The appointment of the
deputy director shall be by written order, filed with the Secretary of State.
(2) The director
may appoint assistant directors as necessary to carry out the responsibilities
of the Department of Human Services. The appointment of each assistant director
is subject to approval by the Governor. An assistant director serves at the pleasure
