Definitions for ORS 408.305 to 408.340. As used in ORS 408.305 to 408.340, unless the context requires otherwise: (1) “Agent Blue” means the herbicide composed primarily of cacodylic acid (organic arsenic) and inorganic arsenic. (2) “Agent Orange” means the herbicide composed primarily of trichlorophenoxyacetic acid and dichlorophenoxyacetic acid. (3) “Agent White” means any herbicide composed primarily of 2, 4, D and picloram. (4) “Causative agent” includes Agent Blue, Agent Orange, Agent White and any other combination of chemicals consisting primarily of 2, 4, D or 2, 4, 5, T or any other chemical or biological agent used by any government involved in the Vietnam Conflict, or diseases endemic to Southeast Asia, including, but not limited to, the disease known as melioidosis. (5) “Veteran” means any individual who resides in this state, who served on active duty in the Armed Forces of the United States for a period of not less than 180 days any part of which occurred between January 1, 1962, and May 7, 1975, within the borders of Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos or Thailand, and who was either a resident of this state at the time of enlistment, induction or other entry into the Armed Forces or became a bona fide resident of Oregon prior to April 1, 1981.
