Statute Text
Policy; development of public safety networks and emergency communications system. It is the policy of the State of Oregon to: (1) Encourage and support the development of public safety networks and an emergency communications system and the rapid deployment of broadband or other communications services in areas of the state in which the services do not exist; (2) Support redundancy of critical communications assets in order to ensure homeland security protections in the state; and (3) Ensure that a secure conduit is available for the emergency communications system and public safety networks in all Oregon communities.
