Statute Text
Duties of director. The State Parks and Recreation Director is the executive head of the State Parks and Recreation Department and shall: (1) Be responsible to the State Parks and Recreation Commission for administration and enforcement of the duties, functions and powers imposed by law upon the commission and the department. (2) Appoint, supervise and control all commission employees and, under policy direction of the commission, be responsible for all of the commission’s functions and activities. (3) Establish such administrative divisions as are necessary to carry out properly the commission’s functions and activities. (4) Contract with the Department of Transportation for the performance of such administrative services as the director considers appropriate. [1989 c.904 §8]
