Allocation of moneys resulting from increase in numbers of vehicle registrations, titles and trip permits due to specified actions by vehicle dealers and persons engaged in towing. (1) Each year the Department of Transportation shall determine the increase in the number of vehicle registrations and titles that is attributable to ORS 803.565 and the increase in the number of trip permits issued under ORS 803.600 that is attributable to the amendments to ORS 803.600 by section 3, chapter 600, Oregon Laws 2003. (2) Notwithstanding any other allocation of moneys to counties and cities under this chapter, the amount of moneys from the increases described in subsection (1) of this section shall be allocated 60 percent to counties and 40 percent to cities. Moneys allocated under this section shall be distributed in the same manner as moneys allocated to counties and cities under ORS 366.739 are distributed. [2003 c.618 §55]
