Statute Text
Auditing and allowing claims. The Department of Transportation may allow all claims legally payable out of the highway fund. The department shall, if satisfied as to the correctness and validity of a claim, indorse approval thereon. When claims have been approved and indorsed by the fiscal officer of the department, they shall be filed with the fiscal officer of the department, who shall audit and pay the same out of the highway fund.
