Waiver of tuition for Oregon residents at least 65; conditions for waiver; standards. (1) Each public university listed in ORS 352.002 shall waive tuition for any course audited by an Oregon resident 65 years of age or older if: (a) Space is available in the course for additional students to register after degree-seeking students have registered; (b) The department in which the course is being taught approves; and (c) The auditing student is registered for eight credits or fewer per term. (2) The public university may charge the student attending under subsection (1) of this section fees associated with the course being audited. (3) A public university may develop standards for implementation of this section, including standards relating to registration, admission and fees. [Formerly 351.658]
