Materials regarding opportunities to work as apprentice; provision of materials
to schools, students, parents and guardians.
(1) The Department of Education shall, in conjunction
with the Apprenticeship and Training Division of the Bureau of Labor and
Industries, prepare written material in print or electronic form regarding
opportunities to work as an apprentice, as defined in ORS 660.010, in this
state. The department shall update the material at least once per calendar
year.
(2) The
department shall provide the material described in subsection (1) of this
section to public high schools in this state.
(3) A public high
school shall provide the material described in subsection (1) of this section
to students enrolled in the public high school, and to parents or guardians of
students enrolled in the public high school, during events or other times when the
public high school provides materials regarding higher education opportunities
to students and parents or guardians of students. [2017 c.405 §1]
