Statute Text
Establishment of rehabilitation programs; application; approval.
(1) Upon approval of the
rehabilitation program and within the limits of available funds, the Department
of Human Services may make grants to assist rehabilitation programs.
(2) Applications
for grants under subsection (1) of this section shall be made in the manner and
form and contain the information required by the department.
(3) The approval
of the department required by subsection (1) of this section shall be based on
reasonable and satisfactory assurance of:
(a) Provision for
vocational training and employment experience to enable individuals with
disabilities or significant disabilities to participate in competitive
employment when the physical condition of the individual warrants such
employment; and
(b) Compliance
with the rules of the department applicable to rehabilitation programs. [1963
