Statute Text
Instruction in Braille; individualized education program requirements. Instruction in Braille reading and writing provided under ORS 342.153 and 343.565 to 343.595 shall be sufficient to enable each student who is blind to communicate effectively. When the need for Braille is determined, the student’s individualized education program shall specify the extent and nature of the student’s training in Braille, pursuant to standards adopted by rule of the State Board of Education.
